Overview

CoSign ("the App") and CoSign Verify ("the Extension") help content creators coordinate and verify social media engagement within pods. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

  • Engagement signals — When you interact with tracked posts (like, comment, share, save, subscribe), the Extension detects these actions and reports them to CoSign for verification.
  • Comment text — If you comment on a tracked post, the comment text may be captured to verify engagement quality.
  • Authentication tokens — The Extension stores your CoSign session token locally to authenticate API requests.
  • Post URLs — URLs of posts you share with your pods are stored to enable engagement tracking and cross-pod sharing.

How Data Is Used

Engagement data is sent exclusively to the CoSign API at icosigned.vercel.app to verify that pod members are fulfilling their engagement commitments. We use this data to:

  • Mark engagements as verified (vs. self-reported)
  • Calculate engagement scores and streaks
  • Power the engagement gating system

Local Data Storage

The Extension caches engagement data locally in your browser for up to 48 hours. This cache is automatically cleaned up. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension or clearing extension storage via chrome://extensions.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Engagement data is only visible to you and your pod members within CoSign.

Third-Party Services

CoSign uses Supabase for authentication and database services. Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. Please refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.

Your Rights

  • Access — You can view all your engagement data within the CoSign app.
  • Deletion — You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.
  • Portability — You can export your engagement data from your profile.
